the old under layer can be removed or you can leave it in depanding on its condition. if you want to remove it, it's a lot of physical labour work.; h8 F" s8 o+ U* Q; y0 {
7 z& E7 i. ]- H2 E$ iinstalling the new carpet is very easy, but again it's a lot of physical labour. carpets are a lot heavier than most people think. plus, you'll need to do your own measurements, cutting, transportation of new/old material, etc.

ultimately, you have to decide if you want a professional look and feel or some quick and dirty fix. mix and matching small patches of carpet can be an eye sore in a long run. |
