- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
M! e2 `0 {& W. C- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.& N: s7 q% P7 E! a* C$ r" D
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP- w. f: O3 h! d
- provide support to ISP staff
% T/ O6 z7 B; i( \1 Q. W4 a" E) r- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
' E8 T* ~9 A/ z/ |$ m2 [) |: B- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
x' d; V9 l1 c% P8 Y- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
( K5 a5 l0 [/ c& W; U# m/ w- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants( N. N$ p# w: X2 v9 l
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
2 B8 X( m3 e0 Y Q8 u0 y: ~2 S- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
% P# W1 u9 d$ }8 _* \6 A- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.

- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned8 V% D3 f9 J, ]( E0 Y) ^

Qualifications- [& {0 W4 i1 U2 b. o
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
; R7 I+ ?! M: D' ]- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
. h+ g& W$ Q6 q" |. O7 \3 `6 k5 X# R- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
/ _- g5 d/ f2 ?$ j- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
* t% u% G" s' K' W- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)8 ~. v- _2 k9 J2 D4 u
- good interpersonal and people skills
* \5 c$ T, I6 C/ V# F- good organizational and coordination skills5 ?# S% k) j( q! A
- valid driver’s license
