7 h- @% q% I$ x4 _- r( s- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
3 t8 ?4 `3 f2 o0 e0 ?; E$ R( ]+ m- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
' c; }' w, D+ D3 l( R' C; _- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
" V7 x6 W' v, P4 Q7 W9 C8 l- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

2 L' {9 b) m# J. H7 p- s/ e9 ~2 yQualifications
! i" t, S5 F, K2 S# `/ J- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
3 L( _& C$ j2 b) R- H* G6 H- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
$ }: e4 R1 i: B: n- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
, z  \& n  a; z! I5 M- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
0 ~9 D5 G4 k% o$ h8 `5 `; H" D, k- good interpersonal and people skills
5 S( V, D# u5 n1 R- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

Other
- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
