 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.
  q" s9 u. \8 ^: _+ \/ ]+ a7 i Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

% v) y# z  p$ D% y2 h Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

: n1 f9 }: |* z- O' f# g  V Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

# j7 j; ~8 E3 J% G# d Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.

! P2 u! i" b$ n8 G8 c5 [/ I Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Attend multi-agency and multidisciplinary meetings, as required

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.

7 p  s! W+ k, G) F" ~ Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.6 g  E; D6 e  G% i0 k- w
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
. m% f$ _) e$ s) C( r Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
6 i, b  Q5 W+ E+ H& M$ K Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment

 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants2 g, C& v! f+ q$ z' a
 Complete participant reviews with the participants
