* R& L* C8 `" e$ w; R3 T2 lDiagnosing diesel engine malfunctions and making indicated repairs
Operating machinery in a safe and effective manner
6 T, [! D1 W) g3 X' b% Q: g6 IProviding daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts
Assembling and starting engines
Diagnosing locomotive component malfunctions

Performing other functions as assigned

Good eye-hand coordination

0 e' |, U' N. t9 R  hVisual acuity and hearing threshold tests are required for this position. Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.
