We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

; m9 T9 P1 m! @0 uReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

* `; u/ b. o, }" Y- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

" I  [9 B  r, k# v- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Y% P7 B6 z& Q2 O) l( e( K- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;
; ?/ u- b6 q3 {# U: {
- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

* l1 T6 k- s9 Z( s1 n- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

; B! }7 y; P; n; K( ~/ T- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

* O. [6 N9 `6 ^# a- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

3 ~3 ]3 z) a1 }3 L: i- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
