We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

! ?9 w# O; k% `5 B1 }- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

( G+ @7 t) K1 f5 C- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

+ n9 F9 q3 _4 x- w; r  e- ?- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

+ z+ r- l) H  W) g0 q- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

2 y$ F! N, X9 e6 Z( V5 d- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

) K3 J: K, k0 z( F' f( O" q- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

( d, S9 X' S% s- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- n9 T9 H( C. [% {; y7 |! R- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
