反对同性恋平等权益，自身却忍受不了喜欢同性恋的天性偷偷找同性解渴，许多人甚至
在丑闻暴露后仍然百般抵赖，最终身败名裂。

years, Jim West supported several anti-gay bills, including one that would

regretted voting for those measures.[1] In 1995, when West was a state
! R' o7 u# F& E  \9 Ssenator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
7 g  V! s" `4 M% vabusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
and Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
: l9 D) G" t) Z8 nto lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
; r8 g5 ]1 m# k) q0 U/ n& Dallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
relationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

West confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
% y: U& U( U. K8 t. nBiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
6 a/ k: r7 q8 t$ ?7 @6 A9 {/ }: \. D+ Djust graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
18.

+ S7 p- X) Y7 ppreacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he served, he is the
founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
1 O6 j/ ^7 ?8 lColorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
/ U+ G; j  W) }2 }! i0 eleader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
, e' T- G5 z/ I8 F" `November 2006.

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership
positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
sex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
# C; ^/ H5 Q' q8 q9 ~& Y7 T% Wcounseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
( D+ N( h" G3 @, Sministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
5 a" n1 x3 |! Fembrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
6 ~: N" V, F9 a/ O: r$ Zreceive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
# |  A' u1 b) H7 H. swasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
