increase their capacity to participate fully in the community
& s& K* I: r3 F% f! A: V( p Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders.
; L& C, ]! [ @ Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation) i) y" @% t7 w& x/ r2 ^# b6 t+ V, h
 Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals

 Demonstrated ability to independently develop community initiatives 0 L4 D* r( }* @" e. `1 S
 Community development and CED background and experience7 p- ~3 r# ^5 [6 M* T
 Strong group facilitation skills : n0 G8 d U! R F
 Experience supervising staff
& U8 w( Y y8 W6 X Understanding of cross-cultural issues5 f2 S3 ~; x" ~7 m N' l) U
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills

Education/technical skills ( m y& o: }* v$ a: q

 Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)
