 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
( e) b) O  c! B7 v& L. I Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
, e8 Z, d, H' U3 j6 m, V( V: v Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

1 U, [/ S: w% [1 k" `* T Social work degree or diploma
( d: @1 d$ S. F/ ~0 N Current RSW designation preferred   
' ]1 E3 R* h% v5 D4 ` Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
; y& M* D0 F( J1 B. _ Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
6 X( H- |; U+ P* _  F& X4 m/ k5 S$ I Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
8 Q! g5 j9 J$ N, ~& ~" ` Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
+ b' l8 m- k" C Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
