! f; h9 a5 H& x+ } Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
9 P( W  s" O5 }7 E) a- r Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
; Z; d- A2 p/ H9 e9 O, }8 }1 X- H Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
! L5 u1 F3 ]- W9 _9 L Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
+ {- P, B8 ~" e. X) ^/ s Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
7 o$ D  O% ^2 h0 Y( H Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
8 F/ t- Y* ^1 }& P% l4 Z Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
) o( e. C& c/ w' N1 R" \1 w7 e6 N9 P  K Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
