 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
1 V+ u5 y" M  `& V& q1 O# ? Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
% U2 r  `5 `, ~8 C) y. T Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
5 c  C5 B8 W0 M. b+ }" ]" L Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
& C& w, b( d/ j' t Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

2 U. X# M( |- Q1 X9 I3 A. Y3 p( a% v! ` Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
& M" |2 I( s; a Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
7 D; w; t0 I% M" e! x5 N Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
