" Z& I! Y6 x9 Z& E Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
1 i% Q; D3 x: U* n$ E7 e* V! L Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

/ O1 c( y2 j) M5 c- O" Q; U3 _ Social work degree or diploma
; h9 c, I/ v+ n- v0 L Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
& ]* u; n* [, i- l2 h) y9 e" L4 S' S Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
5 t( {- x: N6 z4 H! J0 Y0 Z0 E2 P Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
