Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
, U) }" X0 X4 r, e& KProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required3 _5 l( N- Z( q4 J+ D2 S
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed; T7 n" x+ k& d6 P! v4 l2 v* S

Qualifications. }5 D9 R% E) H/ L- g$ ]' s0 v4 s
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
5 p7 r; `) i" H7 DDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred7 s% p [" O4 l: {& a$ c0 {4 B
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
l1 B2 C( J3 x9 y$ oKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred+ Z" G3 k6 L- ~8 j
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
