Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation); H. _) v2 q' J4 R# e' v7 z: V) }
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
! J }# a$ k: ~9 Z# s, f! JPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed

Qualifications* p j1 ]! Q8 J J
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
% R' @5 {5 c6 Y0 C1 G1 U( v5 y" NDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred9 [. P: _5 }8 x; ?
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
, @$ X3 n# ]* J" u1 eKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
% z: f8 A/ v4 y6 e+ ]: |Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
