Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
$ o0 D4 r% `- X" w9 dProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
& M) z) X- i( X- K/ D3 |; GPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
) m/ Z) G' {: G, tPerforms related tasks as needed

5 B! J& _0 A" |! M5 BDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
8 v2 s3 E4 d% S& yDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
1 f0 {) |0 x$ ]( C, S$ L2 I+ K; GSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
% c9 z( w# Y7 M; g0 tFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
Ability to adapt in a high technology research environment
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
