Key Responsibilities & Duties:
" \& c; i6 i) q- Z: ^- x3 {1 F  Q) H
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& H  x& `9 S% }; A. T0 V' K, Y Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ L" D) _9 k" O8 ~, @& z, F Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
) Z* N# y3 F0 L4 X" N Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
$ C( Y1 [( b! |' ^% i+ ` Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
1 ]5 Q2 c3 U9 {  a2 \ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

, G8 J/ S2 B9 K/ A+ _0 T% a Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% q) T" F$ o( m6 C7 }6 Z2 w Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" t# A, v) r# o' y; x) G% ^0 S Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
  W1 q9 c& _. Q7 W% } Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
' ]8 T) u3 N9 _1 p1 S- X. c
Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
