 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.& c9 n3 y0 K, F" w: |
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 ?. n! x+ U$ H4 q Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) r, j$ \ k" n# W+ @
 Completing required paperwork.
1 O1 l: L6 A* P( G* D& q0 I( V Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.: d- g% k& `/ Y, o2 K- h
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.0 i7 X" ~- S8 T9 R3 K( u
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 4 y& n: Q8 R y
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager., ?; y( F2 Z7 @# W5 e1 q5 f

0 u" d! e+ t( S6 E# k Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.2 e% M0 f4 s( n6 z& t$ u0 t
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.( q3 B' p7 t. ]7 {! E( y+ f( h
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ W* j; i+ z. ` Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
* v+ f" B$ O# h1 G& c; [6 ?: b Knowledge of community resources.4 X( ~- O2 z# D* w5 b \2 D/ G: {
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.0 U: y; h; F* T0 E0 f
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

3 {5 ?8 }7 B& J6 S: [% J# nThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. ; R5 Q# _( h% s. U9 j$ r0 Z
There is a 3-month probationary period.
