Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- ?3 R- m! N* e/ e4 H# \( }( l Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
2 m5 b2 w( B1 j# |/ y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ p' Z7 E' Z# Q/ l Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
3 y* g* U% i' @3 L5 ~) f$ W+ e6 C Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
; J* X) ], J+ a# a9 ` Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

# ^5 B5 [' r# E5 I$ e3 k1 h Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 z* `- a3 v  K' Y( F6 w Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
* O' T' @/ w# [ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. C+ C! N3 Q; V# I0 C% A' \ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
5 L4 e$ W) F# y Knowledge of community resources.
. R2 S& Q, g% E. b1 {: j4 W Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
6 k0 t# d  w8 M5 @. C Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
