Key Responsibilities & Duties:
0 \! G0 y+ [4 y' ~# \( u
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
  V4 F$ x  t) T: Z0 o3 ?. I Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
" D$ e2 \  j/ E7 s( ^! l Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
" }" I: j. E6 r2 U3 x: X+ D% O3 f: T Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
& K5 [( }* x( U
$ {# e- J6 a6 @2 G4 |) }. k! \; G Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
  |" B; x5 t, g Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
$ j/ H, M/ |. J5 ~1 V Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

2 f5 ], \: a8 i/ O, o  w. d' LThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
