+ V; R2 Y1 b& u; B) a1 s5 x7 _Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
- Z( E& d+ q4 x. u" s* e  G Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 C# i3 c) ?% P( C5 p& P Completing required paperwork.
# \2 P' q# c; i! Y& P$ g Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 u- M. T& k: o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
) R5 S& ?: c' z) S Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

1 F5 j9 N2 n8 ]( s) Z' T1 m Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 u6 r) C# [( ^  |; m* B+ U" l( M Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 D! |7 e2 l; t% |1 x0 l Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
