Key Responsibilities & Duties:

8 Y4 b: R0 |( a Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.1 X8 n/ Y4 p- W6 D8 K
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 c% U8 S& v$ G" }* t& P$ E Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.5 e. M& p$ f5 f7 z
 Completing required paperwork.; I& s4 G3 ~" z6 R4 Q1 z
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
" i/ _0 j0 X4 e$ c9 n Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.# O+ [3 }+ t8 n3 h; e/ ^1 E" a
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 6 J* z+ |0 n, ]0 m2 c8 t9 \7 ^" Y
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( D; B; R' K8 y) v" P; {# J Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.! \0 |$ m! D3 I9 M& m7 r
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth./ S& I4 B: e/ _2 \$ D$ Z9 L3 C
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.+ C: W3 Q* V' w1 v, I
 Knowledge of community resources.
# F! L. T$ O0 c5 |, r' G Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.% B& w4 O& D$ V( R8 h8 }, W
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 2 e/ [; b9 Z) ? a

Position:7 T8 h) X! h4 N+ r$ C/ _2 D
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
