+ G5 p: C6 ?( I' i. NKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
) K  E$ {6 v" ^3 }) g6 _! ? Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" t# `3 D, v( }  n: g$ }" J2 M6 }3 @ Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
' d. ?9 X8 y- n Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ z! {" _! n) h8 x, P: [ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
' u" |& V% J' b% J* w Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, f0 \0 m4 v- J* p Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

/ x. c& g  G. w9 \* R: s" ]  sThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
