. h( v4 H+ w% r( k. i2 ]/ W Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
) F  N6 W$ G, o8 p' M Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
4 s3 v  J, O0 d7 o  `& } Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ Y/ l6 M9 L- f- y2 v+ }; Q; Z* E Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
1 O5 S" J+ S! ~2 o% J Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


; ^# o+ i/ c" P+ M1 r/ C' E% `Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
# V* L- d* l7 A  l( @ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
4 L0 r/ K. {- t8 @1 i9 @: G9 z0 E  v Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

7 l2 M, _& o1 v- ?This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
4 k' \. K" Y4 a# [: b) Kstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
