Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
  W2 ?4 ]0 l6 W7 {6 }& ^& VReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
/ Y7 d* d- f' q# tResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
  ?6 D6 E" b  @# T) H" X) p# ^Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  
& E0 F" U/ F8 d  N  ?$ ~2 E
% P! T* L- t$ f! J4 v0 xQualifications

1 X( Y6 i/ b8 E* T+ D3 {" J, M( p; ZGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
4 p6 N# G5 C( Y3 x7 Y' vMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
% w* e' g% q% F+ F$ J$ ?4 M- a) LMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
1 K% G9 D! g+ C2 V* \4 pUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
( t) M; w9 Y% ?" O9 X" a+ CCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  g* O: A$ D8 CAbility to work independently as well as in a team
