Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker (Temporary position for Maternity Leave)! v2 x3 G" R% h: s% e
Term: 1 year contract
  l* d/ w9 X4 J( e' HHours of Work: Part-time: 21 hours per week* l+ E7 i$ V( |: u: |) Y4 F
Closing Date: October 5, 2010

Job Description
1 A$ U$ p/ F' K/ X) ~) o2 r-Answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.1 ?& O! s. X2 Z* ]9 N9 _: s1 ~2 p0 e
-Assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
" j6 X" c7 S. L8 L4 o3 ~- A; K1 h. q-Reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team
3 s% u6 Q& N" P+ m( t7 q-Helping Immigrants with Language Barriers to interpret and explain English letters, pamphlets, notices in Cantonese or Mandarin as requested by the client
/ g  z7 M- @" f1 I! s-Train and supervise volunteers at front counter or reception% I3 q  w3 r# x% j9 a

. P# g4 ]6 x2 MQualifications:
* q  m" U# K# |" B9 V) c8 U-High school diploma or above, two years or more related work experience1 I) @2 o- _3 A- C/ Y( s
-Exceptional customer service skills, ability to handle multi-task requirement
( G; T" G/ R2 Y$ [-Works well under pressure, ability to work well independently as well as in a team( H3 y9 Z& p/ l! W
-Good oral and written communication in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and willing to learn one of the Chinese dialects if only proficient in one; K/ ^% K% ]5 f+ l7 X3 Z
-Requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
