 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
3 y$ `- t7 @! ^; P Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
$ `, _6 @8 d  K* T2 I4 o Completing required paperwork.
; V5 N  x* ?& y; ?3 A6 W: s* i8 G/ t) Y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 i1 f1 m& V- l) ~ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
0 j' ^  k& N( Q$ ]! }- L- w% j. c Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
+ ]2 }5 A. z; ^4 s" d Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
" U) x7 W2 G) }* i: b Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ c9 n! R/ {8 q0 p1 |, ` Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
1 h7 X8 C! e: \3 t Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ c  K4 ?$ g- i8 h  H Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
) D# s0 X9 G7 `7 Y9 C! P6 m4 A- ]starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
