Key Responsibilities & Duties: Q, u" v9 S5 \8 m$ Q% }5 x. c; g

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.; P/ E2 _1 P; d3 e5 X8 u
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.3 s5 Y: k# G! M! W/ R+ ~! ]4 E/ F
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.% |4 |9 ~( M# c) w% @9 @
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
! j/ F) h# N9 r- p2 y. K, w Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.7 ^' s8 o; q. k7 N
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.& o9 q! S# M2 m4 S( z, }, K
 Knowledge of community resources.. c8 w4 i7 Q& z1 m* l% v7 F0 F* ^
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.! Q9 T& H. S- l, w* @& U; s
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

6 g8 N: q4 J$ t3 {0 HThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
