Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& n' ~ Q, ? R0 m- x0 C: Y/ {: C Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 |3 T* e! J# P# e4 n) {3 S Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.+ O4 W5 {* m, ~, u( [
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

Qualifications:
$ C# F9 l) T: E+ ^! [& }; q9 @- I" k J4 G& W) c. ?
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.; ~) J- |; d; A2 l! i
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
( o/ V, u |4 ~8 u& [. @ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
8 E" t% y7 c& p0 t g Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.) h5 P3 f4 Z4 `$ s! V; f
 Knowledge of community resources.6 D0 P" O! q' h! G
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
% ^6 |4 T' _$ h& O Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 7 c7 v4 V* b V6 p1 T

Position:
) o7 z2 s/ U5 w b! U' RThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 1 ]; Z. h4 A' E4 x% F, ~
