SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
$ B! k1 z2 z5 S/ Q4 Hoperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
0 U& V: P2 i7 _9 ?customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
the Store Manager.
) H4 v" `2 o# R4 g& A1 l* |; aDuties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
. L9 h2 t" K$ O  V2 M• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
3 O% `6 t. k5 E- Q1 `/ hstock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
; U. I" d  p2 R- ]5 k) l" u• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
! @7 \/ C, _) r- C3 R# p• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
; R: \- r1 b# r, G2 D0 V• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
. {" o! \+ b- S5 N; B, j• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
+ y8 L% I# c. m. }/ t5 T- v• High School graduate
; g! O8 P+ f4 i8 h- f8 n• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies
Working Conditions
• Fast paced environment
• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
