Department Information  
Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.  
Responsibilities  
$ c1 q3 x9 H. ?( w' I Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

Work closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;

Ongoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

, [3 t) K0 ?% `; e5 L; ULiaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

6 U6 J% `& x* R: m, }Working closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

2 ^! K, C, t6 m9 V) Y1 z% tWork closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
Manage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;
+ U, b5 T& q9 F% Y& N- }6 g, q
Provide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

" e* r5 c  G' c4 K6 G  q! m1 U/ YSpecific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

) @! h8 H" t# e. e7 D4 O# a' C; YAssist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).  
Qualifications  
Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.

4 {: t* g! T' Z10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;

Gas industry experience preferred;

Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;

* \9 @" [4 ^. \3 a! \: K* O* EExperience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;

Strong business acumen, collaboration and interpersonal skills;
