MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

$ `3 R4 _2 U( h' ~Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
/ W* N+ q% e; x% f9 S        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
/ Z6 I% S+ Y6 }+ e) M+ k! j        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
, q. f9 _; G; z2 a* [4 b        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
' e- o* m/ K8 M# @. z- d( D•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
8 a* T  F  q2 L) t/ `; s•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
) k+ ?$ f: w4 l" h& x•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
