MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

; [: |& s: w  U5 MReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
5 e5 U3 u( V! c. i9 W4 M: K        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

3 t0 \* k% x, Y& YQUALIFICATIONS:
5 u) T" {% y* E+ q' R% h; J•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
, ^( [. v( I4 C; q* u•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
; d$ [$ ]1 p4 g3 Y, _" g•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
: _6 ]3 N$ G" ]; e' d•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
( F2 @4 B' l4 M•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
