* Y+ O- x" {$ ?5 D' V+ qRecruit Participants
5 ~& W5 F! B0 z; N' I4 n6 ~2 a+ r
# |1 Z9 N" u* v( m& M1 D) P-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
" [( `; _4 G  k1 l-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

' [6 t' y% g' y3 SOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
. @; D+ F* R! _# L-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
% b, k  C2 z# x* M$ U-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

Plan and Facilitate identified public events
3 f, y# B: S' K; t. Z-        with youth participants

9 V+ b% g% O5 T8 c4 PMedia coverage
( V' p" a- a" G( ~; N) W-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

& p! F) H3 ]+ Y5 Y. A+ n- i4 ~Networking
-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
  j6 J9 {) z0 C$ q! Z7 l-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

- l, i% @$ e3 U8 a/ h-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
, ?/ i( d: n) f# d- Z7 k3 `-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
  @  E2 ]  u6 d% K, o. @3 n-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

  m+ q/ g! E. |/ tProject Evaluation
7 i% n6 ~  t. ^-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

7 A* D% d% v; X' `  }-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
-        experience with project coordination
-        degree or diploma in human services field
8 v; |( V4 M  K) [; l) D-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
