The way to resolve this is to have the user open Internet Explorer and go to$ o" |* l' z9 V8 R* v$ [
Tools -> Internet Options' S1 {* z2 O* R. Y5 T8 q
Click the Connections Tab9 {" w3 k: f; A9 R$ S! {
Click the the "Lan Settings" button - U! y! t& U: F2 c9 CRemove the check mark next to "Automatically Detect Settings"/ C8 _# q' U% y# T: c2 v
Click Ok/ Y1 ?& h7 q! [7 g7 \
Click Ok+ f6 c( O4 n. L

The user will now be able to visit University of Alberta websites again.
