The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.% e2 _" H) }7 i3 N8 c1 N7 K

5 k0 K! b  [- m4 E# E8 d% G§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers. H, n. J: M/ G6 n2 c
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution $ o2 P' F. k, w/ O) C
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
! E+ T5 j9 K' f' n6 \" ]§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
7 Q4 q/ D  e3 m$ r§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
& u3 B+ K8 ]4 \§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
' A$ `6 U3 T$ K! Z§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
, J$ U# g/ w: U" R5 U§ Special projects as required
6 \# W) M- k' b3 i% l§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

7 i9 c7 z, h% p: d; H4 q§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
5 P3 W( ~# _' ?0 e) n0 v* y: z§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision) X% C5 G0 a; k4 Z/ T( c, g( Y
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
, I' L* W. H9 ]§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues; u+ t3 p' c. H) p, L
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware# K6 a9 K) v9 K) ]
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
3 v2 u; |2 d% _$ B3 |# {$ ^, {' E§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

Position Summary:
1 ?9 l" Y$ w- pThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ) I" O$ z0 K3 b; I

Responsibilities:+ _2 A: Z' L) h' i2 w9 P7 G  n
§ Manage a stable local IT environment ) z# p+ N# q* @: A- `. @: }
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group: L; u% v: d, ~& Z% n2 r
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
+ U% |1 z  r% C- Q7 I& O§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives; q3 s. S  x4 d. p# q: M
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
1 m/ X$ R+ \5 b1 u) {) H, T2 w0 |1 K§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
7 D  D9 _# O" c§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to6 |0 P, B7 W2 f3 w& ?1 ?
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
7 W0 j$ `6 [! t5 F# [8 q1 F§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
* R- @/ C: R3 q- w. P; O" v% M§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures0 n' }3 ~+ w5 d  @
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
9 {: L! m6 t2 s; q2 h§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk: a6 |: @: e$ j5 Z4 `
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert3 b/ o  H7 b# e% r, @. d
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
# K; N8 U* k' e§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
# s# V- c$ T( o§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
$ }, _# c) B3 m; |§ Coordinate and support end user training
) ]$ S" r: C6 O1 p6 X§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
9 s8 d6 o. W8 b2 `9 G§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
  D2 o" b1 q/ c4 y§ Manage all printers in the building; L9 }! Q/ S) e! k1 Q' x

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.
  P$ T3 Z, q; Y% ^
4 s& }4 }& Y1 L2 C! w/ w, ^3 e在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
