Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
( J& j( u- k1 {/ g* I6 T/ q After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
L& r7 o; Z% }; r# {: z; vIt is a cycle.

Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.( a! }' s4 i) T7 q
The problem should be inside the bucket.

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
( Z5 R% i. L6 [/ Y, C) x AUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.( ?0 [- `- S, X" l6 k8 G
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again./ x# k1 S& J% Z" j/ j: Q0 M3 T1 n
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. ' e1 X& ^; M4 g- k% G9 G3 [

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
