March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!. R. e1 c: {; V: r3 r9 Z. L, u# g

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.

. U H+ q0 h0 a; y' JBring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:

+ p6 i/ Q" J: q0 E$ \learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut % L4 J$ i( B* ?8 Q8 @
digging for and examining fossils
9 R* [; M# W" t/ o! G. v" zexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
5 ]6 d& h# T3 O& e" ^0 f, jinvestigating insects $ [: l5 y+ B6 n" f5 i- f4 E2 q# K
and much more!
- m/ @1 a Q& V7 L“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
