-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
" N* a( @# v2 _6 ^8 U( n/ _+ S-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

( Q' h- c! h* o/ _5 s-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
8 G, Q, x) a& H4 {1 P-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
% A; s; R; a* t7 B8 Z, g-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
; @% V( r# B8 ~" b, p" r; ]-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
: W* ?% g8 o4 w* y-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
4 ^! O1 R/ V$ K5 V2 L; d-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
' X, |1 p& v2 |6 s-        Skills in marketing & promotions
* p! q2 j: g  p; d. O4 u-        Some evening and weekend work may be required


Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
