Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

  `5 H# l" k3 z) K9 ?  a-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
/ B0 ?7 F5 m# @1 v5 q! M-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
9 `  [, w' c& }% b* L! D& o. y-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
5 m9 }% e2 c" ^) }$ d-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
+ {& I: D: H: q$ q4 U$ A-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
7 N  Z8 ~- D4 B" a6 l  E-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
