Responsibilities:
9 X T5 J3 X# g2 h- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
* {$ r5 C8 V2 P1 O/ S- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
5 i/ {: m: w4 S5 S9 I! l: ?7 t- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
/ o! |9 {( u- P) I" G2 W- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
: u4 o( N9 f) f+ M" u; S- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health5 `/ W0 x9 x C9 }1 @# P- o, S
$ U/ |# d, Q' \+ y( H- t' `, n

Key Qualifications:
$ a9 M# N) R! n! a- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences1 d% t5 H% K$ |) {5 f
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
& _$ r& {; [& K! W- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
& t B) J+ N, F+ |5 n' ]- Experience doing program development W% l4 {( D7 P* G, B
- Strong organizational and coordination skills- @% d- f$ s1 r/ @2 _1 k
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
# x4 `; A% _+ J5 `1 h- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
: k1 X8 K t$ w$ U" e% v- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:

- Skills in marketing & promotions
