Responsibilities:
0 z. a7 O0 O9 v' E) m4 V# g1 \- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth& X! R m7 f' V$ ?# [2 j, }
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling- _' @6 f) v/ Y- g* ~% r% l
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups) Z8 O: u2 |0 ?+ J; z0 a4 c L' \
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
; L- b% R" v+ O* G' {. p- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:6 v% y' j( Z6 M/ ~3 C
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences& X6 `0 A( ?/ H* ~: T) Q
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
7 f! s/ \7 }( @- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others9 J* n1 O6 d1 E0 s4 i6 z# U
- Experience doing program development/ o& x p1 O1 ^6 E) ?% c
- Strong organizational and coordination skills- \! q7 y2 Y; a2 q# M# x
- Self-directed and able to take initiative' S9 b" |& N! X" y/ _5 t& ~; G+ h
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
( S/ X, `. a6 v$ x5 P- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
