- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth4 H4 J C- o4 m3 E/ H! D9 Y
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling4 Y9 f# n$ _, H% N0 J$ ?
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups1 ?* \1 ?& o6 b3 Q0 V
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs+ m9 q' D2 V$ o9 _- w
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
4 ?! ^4 b9 u q6 C0 N. G/ }% ^- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
. T, `3 a3 D P$ G, d. Z% h- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement; P/ A( P5 m4 S
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others) C- p. C" p) k- ?/ X* N
- Experience doing program development+ V/ t, j9 ~: S0 p" K5 M ~! h1 V
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
7 _3 Q, L! F+ w- ^& H% ~; f- Self-directed and able to take initiative
! K4 k- A4 @$ ?$ h5 T9 D0 [8 j6 o2 l- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset% T, P! L( U" T8 v) d2 L; c
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license9 i. E' r: A& P( @4 {, A* Z" Z

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation/ x" o" ]% T; v7 E Q
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities* a& S1 s" R e5 o/ j
- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health7 |8 ]% N, {5 ~ g- h: u
- Skills in marketing & promotions
