Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
0 c" z7 Z+ _( D. h( F& nTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

  n* R' t5 v7 V" m0 n" R& @  wResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
4 ?! ^4 b9 u  q6 C0 N. G/ }% ^-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
. T, `3 a3 D  P$ G, d. Z% h-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
7 _3 Q, L! F+ w- ^& H% ~; f-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
! K4 k- A4 @$ ?$ h5 T9 D0 [8 j6 o2 l-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
