Due to the unexpected national shortage of the H1N1 vaccine, Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health and Wellness will target immunization to Albertans at high risk.. y" j& V# h) F' ^

Those currently eligible for H1N1 immunization are:" B% o( T% x ]3 R3 ?
- L2 ^ @7 ]3 ?! n( ] * Both parents, or one parent and one caregiver of infants under six months of age;
! a6 Q& |2 S5 V: n9 }% p G * Children under 10 as of November 1 with chronic health conditions (e.g. diabetes);
8 B% X5 B5 N' V * Children over six months and under five years as of November 1; and& D4 z ^" v. f O8 b) |; V+ [
* Pregnant women.

On November 12 and ongoing, new groups being added include:

* People with chronic conditions aged 10–17 as of November 1. (Combined with the group added November 6, this group ranges from 5 to 17). # N, `# }4 k. e
