THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

" z' `# U3 V5 r# K: U4 A& ZThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
4 K8 h8 v7 ?/ O5 REligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
7 w" a( p; |0 U- D% n•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
: \3 q& D* D+ n% T( I7 F5 K0 v' o•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
  Y+ e8 P/ h: E; x& E) P3 K•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
9 I1 G' \: a! v- Q$ `•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
* p9 Y0 |7 H5 Q5 M6 \3 O! i•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
$ z% G2 C$ X6 A* \3 `' o•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
( |$ c* G, b/ Q8 f  l* U•Be eligible to work in Canada
! I3 f! \; {/ L3 E: G, N) H•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

Time Commitment
$ W5 o/ S" G+ c9 L  @The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
