THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
9 |2 k+ E$ K1 a5 S* Q24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
* c" F4 i2 O7 @* oAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
3 i- Z3 t1 h7 x  {•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
" q5 t# X  f  Y•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
4 U  e* x: M( m7 l* }6 B/ z2 `, q•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
7 m% b3 b9 Q* E1 N2 g2 q0 Z/ e( g8 L$ N& j9 f•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
3 ]; G# M. h1 v+ |" w  x8 P% `  J•Be eligible to work in Canada
  N" V& q( C$ s  h•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
