CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.# ~( M# u, G% g- D

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.0 ^, H' T: ^$ \' Z( \' S0 p

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.. s8 J& D' V" n9 G6 |

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.% `% |# f6 p% t2 M8 e

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

6 C# @- y# a; N• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

3 A9 Q# R7 r% n& W• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

# @" \+ i7 h9 z9 ~Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.& K2 w m+ B8 {: l( V: W

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
