CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

/ q/ C. a1 n: N; S8 g3 A• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.8 O( [/ i) {( b4 D- v; N. h7 c

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.$ T% ?1 M. l9 v8 R' @

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.- |/ Y+ e! E& b8 u* K8 ~% X) Z

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions1 q2 v6 H0 @8 \/ G- E' E3 j4 v' F

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
