Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.4 u% C8 l& y1 m9 y$ Q# T8 N
8 f4 w7 j; K8 N( g6 x5 wPolice say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.# ^' G1 Y' a- O
' K1 O4 B0 Y- g# }Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
