( s# @+ I( x; Y9 i! ~Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special
3 }- y/ B8 Z$ G. S5 CEvents and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
3 s4 \8 X, n9 ]; VPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
/ R I" ]* A. G· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
8 z+ `0 z: d X+ u· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
' K" J! f. h: J- T, @& Fwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the + b3 }! Q8 |/ [, e
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
2 w+ M6 x+ N3 T! k; nset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

9 R. a, V3 ]- T" T4 e· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
6 M9 g T8 @. n9 u· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
) Y) y; o% M" Y$ ^· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
9 E- O) S( ]* b c9 k· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
* X Z; X$ o- ?" }· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
* n* f0 J. E% H7 T2 a6 y· Complete program administration, statistics and records
+ N. e& o3 G8 v2 o4 ?6 g. E
3 f! E* O w% ^% }4 CQualifications: ! W$ x" W- H$ o% q z0 Z
· Completion of 12th
k2 w) C& M1 q, R Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation % B1 d' j6 T' z% n; A
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. ) |+ h8 Y/ ?: u: R: J; L
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 4 o9 u& m; @# v6 s# M; Z
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
( G5 q( Y0 \1 f· Experience working with and managing volunteers 8 F+ Q, G6 E6 L( |4 i: R5 N
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
