Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

' r( \+ Z. k4 x! o# LPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: * n* n H& Z+ A: \) ^+ i# [( e
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
8 c: p; ?3 \0 J· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
; C& B1 z* n2 S1 E2 Nwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
& V+ o% n. @, Wadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
: F5 q3 A# i$ [% i4 yset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination 3 S: a3 o$ @7 o, M9 |7 C
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
7 x0 W# b- i/ I+ V0 ~* S· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
6 Z( \ a5 P' d; {& ~2 u; O4 I, t" ^· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ( U4 L, I) H) s# ^2 w; W
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
8 n% k! p5 o1 f5 t6 f· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
/ }& \% R2 I# A3 ^! ?· Complete program administration, statistics and records " G' {7 S5 \0 O' P- Z; S
2 R m1 B: [: `, O1 J( E4 t' v; vQualifications: [; i8 V9 P$ R" A% H
· Completion of 12th7 d* Y+ O3 v% L' O& ]4 r' j7 k
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
0 ^2 N! \8 l4 Y/ c( vAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. ; J2 d6 e1 i S2 g: P- V
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 0 c1 `0 l0 d. |0 {! W
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 5 n( A7 ?; r0 W. Y2 Q+ m
· Experience working with and managing volunteers

· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 3 l% W& U y2 v/ Q
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work - c/ D, j1 v4 K% O! l& A

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
