Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special
- T; A n9 f4 y7 M- ] m; VEvents and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
1 @/ p9 S; ]9 L) S% V· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee # M p1 K0 C6 T1 ]9 ?( [' o2 p8 X
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
$ D4 x& [" ]* T4 _with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
o K% B. E6 w& Kadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
+ E/ v2 G8 Z3 x. C6 nset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
7 ?5 q" K8 j0 NAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 0 N$ F# G0 f5 n7 C; e3 e' D# [
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
4 I7 `# @# E8 r" [9 x· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
& `5 _) I) ]5 u. }· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers % b/ ]* X: e/ r! G& y
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 7 g* r% N! T% f
· Complete program administration, statistics and records " d" m7 }% l, d5 z1 j& u3 n* e0 p
: P9 b B& G }: x5 n, }% @5 }# ^ uQualifications:
; i- r; {- w% _' ?· Completion of 12th
1 \1 O* K- {2 [+ i, `% [$ x: x Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ( m8 x2 Z `& b. n T% N0 N9 ]( Q
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 5 a& B0 i6 Y! a' Y; o8 d
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
4 F0 s2 m* E8 {! Q2 w- X5 i! R0 Oexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events

· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 3 q4 a2 u3 {; s' w# n+ M' u
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 5 @! A' A) ]" x! ~- @$ t9 [
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
