* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory
Y5 G. y+ h! O: {$ n * Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr; ^! g" _7 @& }$ Z1 m2 G( `7 B9 U! G
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps
; r5 o# z. x, B$ @6 R * Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations
) r2 q7 x( E5 _ * Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

+ h/ e. A6 y/ \: f5 a- b, g * Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred! f6 j+ B3 e5 t' B( Q5 m
* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation0 Y: h9 R1 X3 n% Z
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers

* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
