SKILLS TRAINING FOR IMMIGRANTS

' C5 d5 `9 D8 J6 `3 tIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
m! }. z5 }( q' K* o5 k# Mskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
: r' L# ] g/ C( f3 vprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work; ]+ U* m4 o" R; t5 A4 `
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
5 r+ [% G0 m: u* j0 Q% W Mwarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food( I! e; K1 T7 `% z
services and others.

Candidate Profile:; W8 O( v% ?4 r" Q+ h$ ^. ^5 l8 q2 _

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
9 T2 Q4 o! T) t% q# lcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
' d. `; j' O9 F* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
2 V3 D! |4 G; R) y* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-/ y# k& h9 G) ^% q- i" G
secondary education" r+ u! V9 a A9 P; Z) S
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
k, {6 d& D8 noccupation0 L! A1 A- D0 x. I5 I( |; T
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
. K7 z* P' ]8 E0 C* Willingness to commit to a program and future job
