Program Overview:

Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
5 {* [2 T8 r( d& K* x3 C- S# Askills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded& l; }. y9 @8 H9 I) f
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
- ?+ ^# c" T, dexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
$ M1 H- n6 P2 U3 [' k; E' pwarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food2 r5 l" t- R5 I( D
services and others.8 q: Z9 e5 I; P) H/ w7 _% M

Candidate Profile:

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
; A$ a! I9 C2 x; Scitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
. G' D# m* x' |7 j+ t* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB# a ]# N7 s" y& {" C9 c
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-3 q- u$ o& A4 R" f( b1 o3 }" f/ r% [
secondary education
1 R. j4 G" a* W* X* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
8 l: o& m, K3 T0 Z hoccupation3 a' u/ p* T; k1 g4 G
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed

* 4 months classroom-based instruction and

* Improve your English while learning about a variety of

* Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,4 x' Q- y; F3 R: ]2 L" i0 C
Internet, etc.)
