Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential+ Y- L1 L0 u& i K h
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded& ]' d* Y4 k% ?9 b( `5 K$ X
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work" H; O+ _1 T+ o4 Z( x" N! A
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
/ {; B: ^% X. u# o: z6 ^3 X$ iwarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
" G$ ~$ }5 T: H6 xservices and others.8 A) u, D2 @7 C+ d0 v

Candidate Profile:

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian% r8 f* d* k2 E( r. J
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:5 t1 M) w! p3 R$ i* T
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
. o! W3 g' J2 _3 y s* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
6 t- |/ `( c( k4 hsecondary education# Z+ l2 N. r7 G( ? C! A
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand7 Y# ~, b$ X* G2 K( Q+ k% K9 ^- o

* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
