Program Overview:

Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
& @1 d. E7 t) O" Hskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
" [) d: B# f' i, @! L/ kprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
$ C: Y3 {4 h2 R' A9 Q; e5 c: l0 }experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as; H' u: w$ B/ b. U. g0 c; m3 Z, ~
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food# a4 |: n A7 P5 T7 g; y! j
services and others.

Candidate Profile:7 [+ e: j9 |6 g5 ~3 d9 C* v

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian7 f# s) @5 d: |( e
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:; Q8 t" p9 D. b6 z
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
3 U) z5 S" S8 ~( R/ C* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-9 r W% b, }; ?! x5 E1 k
secondary education* u" x: _, I. V$ ?5 {/ S% M
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand- M8 l+ H; @7 X4 S
occupation: B5 g+ }: ]% o5 A; _ G7 J
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed( r3 o0 V; \, |0 ]1 w7 T: Z; N
