/ g4 h  j6 M; y$ F# i. J! j  X3 GBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
1 S$ j9 e: `* R% h•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
" o$ `$ p+ s; T. l•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
5 d* h9 ^4 D+ P$ |•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

, A6 Q) F; g/ k  l, j/ SThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
7 F+ I& V+ J/ a6 \+ ?- C•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
$ f1 H4 P5 v9 b* ~•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
" P4 }' v, l- c# R# j* B! Y/ g•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
$ a! P- Y. c8 f8 Q6 @5 _•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
1 ^' ^2 |) ^5 ~•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

3 `6 Z% w; z" V+ V) YIn addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
