+ A# T$ E. f/ {Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

1 g+ U9 P0 T! SKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
( W8 @) }% x+ V6 P1 X•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
* |4 b0 P0 [! T; u' A- r% Y•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
* ]+ M) D6 U& v  F& A•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
% K1 k  ?% t/ X; X! w: P•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
3 H1 \! n# E; I: [7 e•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
  X7 c! f# t+ w, q1 Z- N. J( Z9 `, O7 G  U•        Experience with children
, x) F4 e* q3 t" f1 i7 g5 K* _; C•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
1 l& }4 [6 l$ q/ F2 `' o; Z•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
) m" o/ F, v0 n! _•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
  A4 M/ @9 _! s8 D( E•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
