7 H; D3 w/ l- a) A' FBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
" T/ T2 ], ?6 X9 f! n(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
+ F6 V% r/ _$ \. K8 ]  g•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
% Z8 @/ l- }) N& I; e% K, X6 f( l•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
0 a0 _& ]$ `5 U•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
4 N2 B. f. }4 V3 ?3 N/ H•        Experience with children
* T7 @( K- o& h( Z9 w5 E% j•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
7 G1 L! ]- T: @' _: c7 v•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
! I  a) o# N' l' v; L8 z•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
