7 H; D3 w/ l- a) A' FBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
" T/ T2 ], ?6 X9 f! n(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include! `8 h0 P2 }: ]7 P& B9 j5 R
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
+ F6 V% r/ _$ \. K8 ] g• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
% Z8 @/ l- }) N& I; e% K, X6 f( l• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. / H0 q S3 A4 \0 [* S
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
0 a0 _& ]$ `5 U• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.2 A3 ]) I8 m% D" ^
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time." A! q- l+ I" V8 c
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:$ U4 ?" J% l3 O q2 }! i8 a' |
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
4 N2 B. f. }4 V3 ?3 N/ H• Experience with children
* T7 @( K- o& h( Z9 w5 E% j• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth . R$ R0 W# y2 ^
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.' k" T1 g) ?1 _( L7 ^4 R; q; u; W
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
