3 f% B. I" `( xBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

Activity Planning and Daily Activity9 L/ M4 q! H! I% Q0 i' \
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
, w* i2 r2 o/ i• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
' t$ s& O/ X4 k, m; s/ l! M• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, + Y, V8 f$ S2 q4 _8 D0 U3 U
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
8 E$ U& b3 j+ s4 z• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.7 Z6 L |5 u: R* q: D3 g
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

. Q$ T) l. `2 q3 S) o( G7 s' s* U• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
9 k7 u/ x; k5 ^& O2 n• Experience with children
: M/ Y* D: v3 c- ?5 Y• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
# T1 t P$ D: k• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.

• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources6 R- p. m/ W0 C. T
• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
