* w6 D$ [0 C  [8 FBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

8 u( {; z! E1 a& s( e- h2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
: n, z# k4 C, B3 j& H' `) ^6 a(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

" x/ o2 h' ?6 ]  H. }' `' sKey Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
9 q3 O" Q( S3 h  x! O•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
7 J9 }3 V0 M% n7 ~* I•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
. E' L3 C( k* [! W•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
% V4 c+ U. {+ k1 W•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

. b1 H9 w! W5 D' d# H$ dThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
$ U- G) d, `9 E7 t  y# q•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
