8 |) P% r. c D. ?Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

Activity Planning and Daily Activity
) T$ T a5 `9 w• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
: Z8 d& x- n5 j0 i* v• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. $ V+ l. o, n# E; b
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
' H( W; Z7 D5 R6 b5 }• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
: f! k! x1 Z! A• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
4 ]- ]' {! Q* ?• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.. j, O m7 q0 T# ^, v7 j

The successful candidate will have:* T( [/ n p5 [7 ?( h) m1 I' q
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting0 g6 T I+ L1 w
• Experience with children
7 @4 T0 U' Z4 {6 R( k9 t0 }0 a. Q+ k• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
- m! }+ ^( G# N, [• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
0 j1 j* \6 `# e• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.; T g# L5 F- a
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check , P* W7 E$ P. x% ^" J2 J
