Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
6 D+ J, v7 t4 Q  Q- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
4 V- Z# I% g/ E8 p" d- Recruit children for summer program
: E% `3 D; Z5 C7 F- Provide orientation for parents
- ~/ n, N3 y6 i% |3 K- j- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

/ T2 _. `% x, l9 F# o- `- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
* i9 F# s" G8 H/ z. G$ }- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
6 r" a/ a1 y" S- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
! u) H& e! u( y
- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
