support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern . l. } x1 D I7 c8 b

2 s" z# D4 S: \& {, K$ E' \4 kFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 0 u( y$ N$ |4 P( \# ~5 I# D
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 3 g3 c; u. G& P: V) `! K8 {
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
; b1 z, Y3 Y* R" mresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
! q0 Z% ]3 x! g- e9 l8 c# j6 Xscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern . D/ L: t% t2 }# C6 Q

- p# ]- a, ]5 y3 GJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the $ M# E$ @: U7 V0 L. j& ~
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
% J7 X) i2 L6 ?* P' v* bwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: $ W; q3 T1 i K' ~2 D- z& l
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
. `# @' \/ z2 H- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- _' N& U, u/ ]4 y4 w* ]- O- Implement a catalogue template for future use
9 L. y" A5 Y9 a: n% `# J- O+ [- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
8 P8 a- X" x" i3 \) ^9 Y- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training, university preferred

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- { o; V& K* I; S' `- Strong organizational skills
* ?/ F5 I, `' |. p6 p+ t) W5 Z4 Q- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 6 i9 j$ t0 X* q3 L
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 8 u" _. z0 K: L) E
- Strong team player abilities
) @1 p: a3 q( H& L3 q; ?- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
