Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
* M( ]( f4 L7 M) [& _8 W1 b- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
" L9 ^5 _$ W) b2 G- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
; t' @6 \) z4 L. y4 }3 Z3 C- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

) H" f$ \( f0 Z, L- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
, _3 f0 w# j$ \- ]- communication skills
# D& u2 |' L: ]* p3 a- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
& h! Z4 c* B, {3 w# w; J7 ^4 k1 c- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
$ @( |8 n9 H+ x3 G+ f5 s! @- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
  `7 c. N( M/ s
- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
