Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
) ]* K3 r( ], l' S2 d9 a: }  ^Responsibilities:
& k& h4 k+ A0 L3 a- f- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
4 M) u1 T' N) J3 p- Recruit children for summer program
+ w, z+ J2 v9 A2 ^( s+ e- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
( r* c. L) F2 D" [/ ?( l+ g- Supervise volunteer(s)
) ~' Q0 J' F$ t' W( t5 T- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
# e2 ?  S8 E+ D! q  T( j$ C/ q- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
# p* V& {" t1 F: O+ a- communication skills
6 b+ m  B( R* C, U2 S8 E: r! ^4 ~1 G- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
1 z8 V9 j5 N# X5 v9 e- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
2 H* t9 u7 q# y5 i$ m! z- good computer skills
' P' G8 {9 Z, S- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
