Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
* t$ R( C; S4 A- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
, j/ t* ]- z" @+ A U' M& C% e preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps4 D2 L9 u3 h3 D5 O; b. L) k: o
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program2 [ J1 K1 |6 G4 \
- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
+ K6 ]5 C6 i- ~5 f/ H* w5 H' N- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager' ]0 n# x. A4 p) ?! i6 x% j( O
0 l1 X2 u5 Z$ k6 `3 i" LQualifications:1 H' \, s* Z; U: K
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
% h; F/ p! F1 W4 H" S Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
& t! p( g" ^1 Z/ R2 E- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children5 k$ k* B6 m) w
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
" s4 {- X: E/ H5 s' Y2 P/ R; n2 ?6 I- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
* E4 N n; T: z- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese/ B8 O. j9 M9 |
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
4 q. q9 O$ X4 @6 S$ z- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
( D y9 T( e2 j. e! O3 A- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
* I9 { Z4 C \2 W/ J" o and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)- r8 x" d0 `/ i" Q! N& n0 H( Z
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009$ r3 s/ l4 n; K8 I

- $14.00 per hour
