Responsibilities:
/ F& _% Q/ t# a6 y5 C9 e4 T-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
       (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
4 Q0 L2 _5 N" b- K-        Recruit volunteers for summer programs
-        Record keeping
-        Provide orientation for parents
-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
, B" O6 T8 R" t' q. A# j4 w-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

" n6 {% H: y! q2 k. C+ fQualifications:
. r) h4 m+ a( o. K+ ~-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
5 X1 {7 v* l- _-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
, @3 T' r* y' H9 Y-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
1 Z& S5 W* t5 k$ k-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
/ e! P/ B2 }, _7 g8 f-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
+ P2 G: f* `; P  F; ~0 z; N-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
6 Q8 V# T  d+ R-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)   
4 v  n1 f/ W* c/ h. t6 B+ _        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
-        $15 per hour
