怎样才能得到lay off 信？

打工生涯

有份临时工作，只有7周，不知道能不能给lay off信？可以问雇主这个问题吗？
  a; Y% _5 f7 ]( M, d6 n还有个问题想请教诸位，如果领完EI后，还能申请funding读书吗？

7 week is not long enough to apply EI.
& `3 r7 ^) Q4 E; C, C! `$ A% HYou can check service Canada: different province has different requirement on work hours to apply for EI. In Alberta, I think the shortest working hour is 420 hours to apply EI. The standard time is 900 hours.

7周的临时工作不算是lay off呢~~
