4 r2 y- u& z( `5 Z. B6 a) V * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
7 P, N5 Z+ ]& c e' j * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis* W- W: s& I8 F6 c2 R! }
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
. H& j$ Z# R: P0 ?, w * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students

J$ t * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred( o+ w8 J# a5 ]+ x, K/ G: b, p
* Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required
