6 M% j: d; {6 s! Y8 O * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications/ [( U1 R5 |! t
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis6 M3 G2 y4 c. M, X, o# N
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance {& ]& v5 J" H+ C- ?+ D( E5 F5 Q
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students

P6 T8 v' e * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies& R( d S4 g3 ?8 Q+ N$ w8 _# J' H
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
