Duties
  X1 Q- \& Q- l3 B+ ?3 R1 u4 S8 k
    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
8 d% i% h' ]1 g2 `/ {, V, \    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
5 \: O% I" x% {) N    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
* b4 y: C# E9 q9 f2 h    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

; q' A7 P* C, ^好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
* Q' S. l: W3 HSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

5 P1 @' g7 O* s* _6 u; I3 Vti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
