Duties

& W' I) d+ F: L$ h" l9 C7 O2 ]; {    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
# m4 S1 \6 Z" O: i    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
+ Y$ y$ _2 L% ^* _2 n. k# A5 S    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
, F  ]" n) z" V2 \6 s8 z    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
5 f# j( m' S+ h$ l/ l5 y本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

# a/ N- j3 g+ e9 T
8 Z7 k8 z5 S4 }7 z) l4 j好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

6 V8 j$ ^* C- j; \; q2 M. `Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

  K+ ^8 p- s+ Yti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
