A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

The program includes the following elements:

• Standard Child Care First Aid2 z6 u$ W" H! n9 b
• WHMIS
, }1 @1 t- i9 n- B3 t @• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care/ B. r+ V8 N6 B8 _
• Components to improve communication skills

Eligibility Criteria# ^; T2 d5 k" X
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
: E0 n( N* M, M" E# A) nof Canada: c+ @4 {' {( e2 c
• have a Social Insurance Number
2 L* C9 Q0 j" B# L! i) ?• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
5 W- K# H1 N# U6 C5 S& [0 a8 V7 t• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent; R6 [7 M, J, A( I# t) R
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time% J) Q% `6 C+ Q: y {4 y

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
8 L) i9 l3 S7 j7 a% x, Sthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course- o6 x0 b# L R9 p$ H8 y
