As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. ' ?* W/ u! O( n' t1 d
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:
& t" u, p6 m- }9 R* OConvert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
9 k7 a8 d# F! e6 L& N( ^& ^/ k: cCreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information. 7 M- b. x& m. _& j b5 D
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
6 ]0 k+ C9 ]0 j: fAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. 1 Y9 ]! u% ]5 D# t, b5 B& ]4 Y
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
- L8 I! m( z7 q& EAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems.
1 p* j. D- K# s4 `* MAssist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications. 9 D) k% ]2 q u& ~! M
Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement.
% F+ A" X- a/ F. d8 I" kResponsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. 5 D/ @' U7 f* n3 ^: |
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
& l% m4 T. q$ R# d* |) S) y• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Z. [7 y8 x; t+ a• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
7 v8 ^: W: ^% ?( A• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
: f; c% z3 k+ W5 n5 `4 Z& L• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
