　　1、don"t flip flop (别翻来倒去，朝三暮四)

　　3、don"t sway back and forth (别反复)

　　原因是：

3 y  l" D- s+ R- s# {+ A) v6 O　　“self-inflicted” has the connotation of creating theunnecessarypain for one self.

7 D# s# ~9 T' ?/ b6 I　　折腾 in Hu"s speech has a strong connotation that such kindofsetback is self-seeking instead of being due to theinterferencefrom outside.

6 ~$ S- o& r8 o# [) H　　“Setback” is a much better word than “trouble”, whichanunseasoned translator would like to use in the firstinstance.“Setback” especially refers to the obstacle ordifficultyencountered in achieving a strategic goal.
