The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:

That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw 7 O2 Z, U( F" a- f5 ], O4 ~2 c0 i* q
That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw & ~8 a n" g& y. j1 J
That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act
' h/ E7 O" Y1 i P A# Z( Y/ GCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club 3 a/ e/ V& e/ p) s% m/ E. S) \
Certified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed American Staffordshire Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club ' r3 Q3 [3 p. u3 I" w8 b4 y8 A/ s
Note: The restricted dog definition does NOT include any dog that is registered, or eligible for registration, with the Canadian Kennel Club as a purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier. ; S! ~2 Z) I2 g9 v4 v. ?& d' p4 r
