Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
Full time position (35 hours each week)
) q! ]4 E% ~, f  ?$ U, I& r
4 A# o8 Q6 p; V& ZJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
* P% v+ X) _6 X; j•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
+ ~/ Q- T: s& b# V2 T0 B9 g; ?& z•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
3 z5 n5 s+ ]; D6 ^•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
9 a7 P* N# [/ y- S7 r& O  ~•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
/ h7 z) D4 [2 @•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
  ]% f# q# x8 ?2 B2 J% t•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
, V! `- F2 O3 S•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
* J( N8 b( B& M' K0 R9 {( y% Q•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
4 G$ R9 ^) i! u4 z! t6 }•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

' l. b9 G, }& j6 J1 m6 f- A  @! r, TQualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
