Job Description

# e% C- }2 ]) ?, Z) nFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
2 i! c* Z1 M2 }6 ~' n2 J  K+ l•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
  ^. D; c' G0 h( f6 d3 H" g9 e•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
2 H+ z9 h: C) e) }9 y/ z: h! Z* u•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
+ B! q; w( }( t$ v•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
3 b$ v* [; C) g4 \* X2 L•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
% r$ L  S$ r0 U* P•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

3 o% e7 Y8 s) |( S+ |Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
1 O4 Q  {" D/ q7 u7 b; F•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
! Y& o9 D9 u$ O: c•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
