Job Description

5 |% f- U; e9 x  FFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
+ ^1 i9 i* d' _# _0 G•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
9 T8 m4 }% e, m* r( K* k; Y* Z•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
" n: g9 g+ N9 C: H( C' f2 [•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
' ]( K: z4 l- K* W- F•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
  Y9 s  m: M1 q9 M7 k  p7 U) Q+ W7 C5 v•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends

Qualifications
, [, d- z9 X' H2 j. Z•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
3 b. a9 d% K6 L•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
