Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
! b+ B: F+ G' v, J• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
1 \$ Y7 b$ X$ O) L D' G4 n: M# k• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
! {9 P3 h8 r( x1 S& Y- o• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.. l0 [" q" |* z2 c; b
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.! f/ l5 ?1 J0 x# w
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.7 f1 m1 S0 g7 l" b* V+ F1 C. d0 O5 x
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.- d6 Y" G2 W% O
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.6 j8 [5 b. N" F
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
% B7 o, G: i& O) O• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.$ V9 N+ j+ m* r. i* L# a0 [* |
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
6 K; ]' n6 _3 `5 ^2 }: z• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.6 m1 \3 Q4 l' E6 v$ `' x" j
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.- s# ^! J N6 y q3 |. B; ^

3 X6 O. d) s W, r• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
$ ^" j' l* w! S- S2 Z$ l( \• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. ! R9 k% o: Q/ ? N/ q- p6 ^
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
% j: h* W: }/ q, E. Q6 n6 e2 u/ j4 i• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
: j3 k& \; E/ b. ]; S8 l• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential4 {' ^6 L3 K6 d' L% N
• Not scared of heights0 @+ n* ~$ p _; ^: O
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other& Y! E ^7 v* x
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 2 _6 {; b; E5 ~! X6 f- i8 L/ h
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
