Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant/ o% G0 ~$ c4 i+ q% ?9 o) j
Location: Edmonton. N( \. Z. m8 y5 j# M: V8 }
Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
& ^7 O: D' ]2 I" J7 I$ F• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
2 g' J5 s- A* [+ |• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 n; }0 Y" j/ k% {/ ?• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
* }# w4 M- {9 S: Z! G. p• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
; \7 t7 u( Q1 X) a, m* h• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.' K2 @6 s: I9 x$ f5 k# C. B {
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.6 x% \$ _4 O# y4 k2 D
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
! `, K2 c: |9 b3 ^- b% M• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.3 f7 A9 i# j. M8 f% D
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools./ ^$ G, a+ r: O* o& |8 T
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
8 M2 D+ g! x( ~8 _3 N! p• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
1 z9 z# \; x1 O/ @9 s. l0 O* _• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes./ X' z4 \* j9 p2 f8 [
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required., F* d, q: r* Y J+ `, w
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.) Q: Z* C) ~0 O* h$ y1 n
; k- F$ m9 _" u% {9 x \* }Qualifications: V. h8 a0 l9 o* ~8 o
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. % B4 b7 g) d/ ~: a i. q
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
" R A+ [: S# j# n• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 2 G# b* P: ?$ d. ] w4 ?
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
. _1 F; I: m k+ k+ o r0 u• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
) K' o% z: j8 a! e/ u; Y3 D• Not scared of heights
- `& C* ?' {9 q+ X• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
7 j9 c# U# N6 w L6 f4 w• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
