    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
6 a6 }: ]  N- J    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
2 M  W7 o6 I7 O$ g0 Y9 Y    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
) s: h, H7 H. U/ G9 d+ Q" s    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
) H, I/ J$ v4 z# Q7 c4 z    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
& |9 R) |+ F0 M8 A# f$ e    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications

, N* }3 U: o! k) y% J* g5 f/ }    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
6 w- R; j2 M  ^    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
% _" H0 p+ U3 w2 \1 g" g    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
1 T% A& o: q% m( L% Q    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
2 j6 U- w0 y9 \& k    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
! A2 M' ]$ Z1 ^% C. k! l    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
