* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
0 p D' d' S/ z0 T7 @' T* w * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities z; N# L# d+ J$ \& w
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes- w" d2 p9 B0 k2 \ |
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat- ?3 W( i# z9 w* U+ Z4 J K
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
. i- t! G: ?2 {; s4 S" g9 l * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
# O/ j5 j" E' h# W8 J4 X8 v5 x3 M * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs2 E# `4 n4 E6 K& G. q. e: q/ `9 ?
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
! B0 K ^9 s$ Q! n- s * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning9 f! P# _( {5 d% e) S9 i
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials- g! I# ]$ R0 m
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media% E: r( A) e5 g/ i4 X+ o& R
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
4 d# e k% [8 V, P: O) v$ N3 s% v * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 t( J3 l% A, |( _5 m
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
; `6 k; c1 a+ D' I * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset; r6 e4 E7 @7 Q0 y1 S" x
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
. f6 R5 m: n* z/ v' C- r * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills5 F0 G9 |7 _5 d! a. e- W
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
