* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program# d+ B1 U; q4 `8 q( X, `
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
6 R$ G# A2 a9 j- n7 d; s. n * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes3 F3 k5 v, X! G
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
( G+ n7 S0 g1 B$ p2 r * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
" C9 l& Y( h* \! Q2 s4 I3 G * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements$ H1 N& O* T/ o. g) ?
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
. I( j" B9 x) O V: ~ * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials% _' U7 L6 s C ^4 }
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media9 X8 k3 F! U0 @; y) j- j
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results8 x/ a. p7 Z- f n+ k
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications9 |, P- x; v+ M8 b) c, [

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred3 B: \/ |: ^4 m! l- [
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
4 [. f, L, T' o * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset% Y- A$ f8 _% E1 w0 V
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
" @4 E7 @# C e2 H * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
- Z/ N M, E) v1 e * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
# O, w* z; ^9 ^4 D! N * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)) W) r. E3 A$ X
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
