* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program3 b y, _6 E. c0 p. n W/ K
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
% q! O1 z$ _* P/ D W * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
4 @) M" A4 q2 O+ ]- i4 g$ [: K) @ * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat1 F4 x9 ?; \/ P' N9 Z7 y5 B' b
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders; h( n, ^& [) L1 r% x' O4 V
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements4 ^3 L0 l8 F; _
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs( U3 u9 J" \, |4 o4 A2 Y% ?
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director! h I2 x4 p% |% I
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies5 J" A) [! v3 M5 r7 X' v6 K

Qualifications
- m+ e. a) B4 k5 N+ Q, e1 W
7 j( B" L6 C) Y' S8 W * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
3 m7 v9 Z @' h* M( H * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
1 e$ q g* K1 ^' \ * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
& E2 a' o7 {: y s' X# |' p * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
% x4 T" @0 ?: h9 A% S& d3 [ * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills* R0 C0 n0 `+ w: y4 ?
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
6 y4 @& k4 f# Y * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
