9 w  c/ @7 X: W! [9 Y3 {/ B
    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
6 q' s) U" M- O3 {" w    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
* S; g+ m, |+ I; I. W& V    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
& a% Q! e0 l) {$ k% H5 r    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
1 ?0 [% t+ _0 f1 e9 }5 k3 a6 d$ r    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
( h+ j( C( b& V% R7 ?  h0 A    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
: E4 t8 o9 }( q; ~% x8 K( {; a) G9 C    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications

    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
- o. R8 d$ @5 K    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
