1 N. R3 L7 k( {, e    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region, F* A# w+ {7 o/ B$ {7 e! P
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group4 U4 Z: c5 D. M2 f: X) G
    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators3 s, }6 i5 P1 E/ Y$ W& o* z, j5 b; h, v
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
* }9 v6 v& r2 O& m- v6 C" B) k' [    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
- E" H7 n5 e9 k3 M    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses( c, `8 U0 q8 X% b6 a  E" s2 f
    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth
* q$ ^" p  S$ \1 W, V9 B    * Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program
) x( r6 Y+ a. ^4 P" U    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment
  v4 G0 }$ e: t) r7 H% K# r- X) l    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports

    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly
6 f( d( `3 p, [! l4 b    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities7 p  I' _8 a0 z3 @
    * Develops a communications and advertising strategy targeting community agencies, youth groups/programs, and schools

Qualifications! z5 M# ]# F$ I1 Q* A, c0 Q

    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline* @. p  v8 j# W5 E
    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
& z5 u& j- {: b) V2 I. Q) e. w    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
3 ^" H9 c* a+ I9 G, X' s    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs9 d- o" p& Z4 A* z
    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community# ]8 ~: `  q$ a4 A6 b+ T
    * Fundraising skills an asset  e+ @" P* `/ n: [7 v2 I& I
    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills7 C) L- |( t+ ]) b+ i
    * Outstanding group facilitation, training, and counselling skills
