    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region) O; n3 L; O) J) c
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
+ A5 g$ Q( a  @& z* n4 D0 w( C) x    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
4 m6 q# ~  h0 Y9 w/ j. _    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
9 q- a3 j1 H/ R& \8 x) E  r    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
4 n) i- @# p, G    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses7 o# _* z: ]$ ]4 Q1 U7 W# W) w9 M
    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth

    * Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs, p+ q2 [4 J2 w* U
    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly5 w2 O+ c; h2 v9 |6 j$ [9 ?
    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities

    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
" W( i2 W- R" G6 @6 ^/ S    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth2 J; l3 A2 N, x5 g4 S& Q3 Q
    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
9 Q3 w1 z" h0 r/ I0 b+ A    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
6 [. `5 g8 E9 P! z' D    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community

    * Proven leadership, and strong team, and relationship building skills

    * Understanding of other languages and experiences working within Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
