Position: Youth Services Coordinator

o Accountable for Towards A New Generation (T.A.N.G.) youth program8 z0 s3 n* v% N5 _; \8 j! J
o Writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth program
/ d$ D$ I3 T1 _) g+ G6 wo Supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
) v" D) Y3 ]9 S+ k; a. {. h) ko Coordinate, develop, and manage a summer youth program
5 D& f, l& i9 a7 }- X1 Io Liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
8 i; M- r7 U8 e- ]; b, P1 ro Train in areas of management, organization and fundraising& t1 N( n8 D/ `% W& P7 \
o Accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model$ T8 D+ `! l1 Y2 `! _( a. ^4 Q2 H
o Demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
0 c/ M' v2 t0 \# B) v' D' Ko Participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues3 A7 B' s9 ?0 O' u' u2 E: D$ `
o Be open and willing to explore new ideas
+ z& k4 v1 `* P2 t! qo Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends; D2 Q8 q0 L) l! k
o Be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor3 P- L l6 A9 p3 E: K9 U, f) B
+ Q& M1 W! T1 Y6 u' ~Qualifications/ k" e$ N, j( [! N" H! f9 z
o Degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience8 \/ W$ ~/ h! `. ]
o Good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset- K1 i6 }6 m8 c9 c% R0 s" j
o Experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
9 Q% ?' T! p eo Leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
8 ~+ d6 y8 j2 Ro Willingness to learn

o Requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
