Duties
Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
/ D! w" [; b/ d: _! H) G7 Y6 PDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
1 b! {( g% Q7 ^1 _1 F, P6 HDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases
Qualifications
# t  C( i" z/ b: V8 d% fTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
1 q! [0 v1 W0 y. u0 l: ?% k2 G8 dMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
. Z$ A6 l: v) M+ k0 B% Y% j- c; RExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
