Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

2 l& s- B) d6 o7 y% {- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
5 q; \) A N Z3 K( m8 R, G- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
1 } A7 V4 a6 H2 L" Z0 p- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

2 {: u. i+ ]4 ^9 C0 x/ m0 T4 ]- post secondary diploma

- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
+ F& J. N; Q% |+ T: y- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
; \' f2 y- q1 q- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
, P! |0 C; d# e v. L- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies! t+ v1 s5 u6 ?0 ^6 d) v* p
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
' P* j$ p# b2 [% H- update ASSIST website
6 {' T: b! [6 C8 W& G4 x5 ^- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
- _2 _9 [+ P3 p' N1 c- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services4 O! r0 [( J0 [2 ?! y! |
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
+ e1 x. W$ b, N* d7 _# ^: u- write quarterly and final reports for ISP+ e2 g- J: B4 o, ~6 Q" u& p% a
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
& z# S8 M; Z; \6 t8 g8 `- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

* u6 D- Y5 G0 v- t; i- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 6 ~0 a1 W8 o, c. C, ]" j( n2 y( q p! m
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
" q6 ]! E! d6 b! A- experience in community work and immigrant services" z; ~! X( o5 [6 L
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset" f9 q* G$ h( e3 L* B; H
