- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
) G+ ]! X0 K3 R5 A r/ Y- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
* j2 a I6 n L5 R2 Q- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:# e7 c. z) ~* B1 M
- post secondary diploma
6 w% h6 h8 _: U& }$ r- customer service and office clerical experiences

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community, u f. w" \3 z8 F9 \
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services% X$ W8 _; o( ^( @8 k
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services5 q% r# U: D$ m/ `( N# v( b( V ?% Q
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
2 V0 ]. z* G. h O) e- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members) Z0 h, L' Q" T9 f4 q% }
- update ASSIST website5 |2 Q& a1 U" s7 ~
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
7 N9 _5 C" \$ }/ C- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
* X2 X2 G5 [$ d- assist in writing proposal for ISP
+ ]# M1 |! B. S% _- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time# V3 ]8 {0 ^7 t, w

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

5 X* v: Z& s7 O- r* l' I( M* mQualifications
8 ~/ F8 b5 d) K' U! f' ]- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education & _# Q. } g' ]+ ~7 c
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 j' Q8 d- X3 W' c: _3 O
- experience in community work and immigrant services
