Job Description

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
; G6 e$ E; }! c5 f+ p- post secondary diploma & `8 ? V6 G8 S* B- R
- customer service and office clerical experiences- k) f# O, b5 L% U2 e k: U
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset* O' p4 s" @% {" d/ V( x

" v4 Y: Q/ _* t& Q- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
% Q: Q, a8 K% x0 |2 s1 y8 ?8 I% i- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
m6 {9 Q. C: I. C! ]0 M- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
4 T4 X& s [: z5 W- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies6 s7 y$ S d, m* e
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members; a: u/ B1 P( c I7 k
- update ASSIST website
- \' d b' i4 U- |+ R- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
6 x6 K3 @, U- Y8 @- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services% v6 w$ I$ I% j$ p0 m
- assist in writing proposal for ISP5 J7 T9 Q `% J( o! M9 N
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP) @; Y1 g0 @0 D/ l# f/ f
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
% A) O! K7 i1 u1 F: C- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time W6 \/ q. R6 R* C
- update membership database9 u) n u0 _1 n% [) B6 X$ B
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

5 X {& a& I' z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
U. r# `4 F% N+ E$ T; s/ s- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
0 T: x. R$ M7 d6 q! G; y5 C- experience in community work and immigrant services4 Z u( r8 ]( U
