Job Description
4 w& N+ s4 }# d/ K2 b% m+ w0 ]: }- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
' \% e. Y! l) M* u/ Y4 Y! ~' Z6 ^- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
1 A* E3 N6 F3 K" \, m, D- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team+ Y# m0 Q! t9 N; y' W# e. z
1 Y4 b3 U( ]$ r8 j7 ]6 xQualifications:4 x+ n; C1 Y# N' O( m/ _( Z* T
- post secondary diploma
0 o3 m' ^% t0 O( n& C* o- customer service and office clerical experiences
D$ Y$ u% j! N) }- o5 d- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
" E, G6 o3 T3 O% `. i; q7 ~- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services* ]) ?/ `& L; }# E
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
w, m* y( `3 ?% O5 ~- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 w+ u: n4 }/ N8 R8 `* W- update ASSIST website
. ^7 |4 H$ J* J1 P- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
$ m4 d, F+ v$ ~9 C' Q- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services& E) a$ D3 _& Q% i+ Q
- assist in writing proposal for ISP$ n6 l& K6 w* [% H9 O: [" E
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
6 B6 U0 Z* _1 F- hold regular meetings with ISP team
; r9 h4 u! C: F' G+ T T k# o: h- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)$ H4 ? Q6 k$ v

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education . f4 }& ?% `0 N
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills5 h5 h1 ]2 I4 }9 m; h5 r8 k* M
- experience in community work and immigrant services
